I have been a nurse for 12 years. My work history includes oncology and medical surgical nursing. I have certifications in chemotherapy and telemetry. I have experience as charge nurse and preceptor. I continue to work contingent as a staff nurse at Mercy St. Anne's Hospital because it gives me the opportunity to maintain my skills and interact with patients which I often miss. For the last 4 years I have been working as a full time instructor in the BSN program at Mercy College NWO where I teach adult health, coordinate senior practicum, work in the nursing skills lab and teach clinical for various levels of adult health at the College. In addition to teaching I serve as one of the faculty advisors for NSNA which is a student organization that promotes professional development and community service and I serve as the committee chair for the Leadership Succession Committee of the Zeta Theta Chapter of STTI. I really enjoy my job as a teacher because it is truly amazing to watch the students grow and finally put all the pieces together.
